Classical Kicks embodies a renaissance approach to classical music. It was created in 2012 by maverick violinist Lizzie Ball and born out of a desire to present classical music for a wider audience in a more down to earth environment. Mixing world class talent and music from the jazz, folk, world, pop and rock genres whilst weaving a classical thread throughout, Classical Kicks is a show for any music lover. Classical Kicks began as a residency at Ronnie Scotts in the upstairs bar (Ronnies Bar) which continues to thrive. Since then Lizzie has created a family show, children’s workshops, and a even a club classics meets classical instruments collaboration with DJ and Bestival Founder Rob da Bank.
